Frequently Asked Questions
1. What's the difference between dyed, carbon, and ceramic tint?
Dyed film is the most affordable option and adds privacy and glare reduction. Carbon film holds its color longer and blocks more heat than dyed film, without a metallic look. Ceramic film is the top tier — it blocks up to 99% of UV rays and up to 98% of infrared heat, and unlike older metallic films it won't interfere with radio, GPS, or phone signal. For Las Vegas heat, ceramic is what we recommend most.
2. How long does installation take?
Most vehicles are done in 1.5–3 hours depending on the number of windows and film type. Quality ceramic film, professionally installed, is warrantied for the life of the vehicle.
3. How long do I need to wait before rolling my windows down or washing my car?
Give the film at least 3–5 days to bond before rolling any tinted window down, and ideally 30 days for a full cure. Avoid washing the tinted windows for about a week, and skip automatic car washes with rough brushes on tinted windows for the first month.
4. Will tinting void my car's factory warranty?
No — federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) prevents a dealer from voiding your entire vehicle warranty just because you added aftermarket tint. That said, if an installation directly damages something specific (for example, a rear defroster wire), a dealer can decline to cover that particular repair. Professional installation keeps this risk very low.
5. Will ceramic tint actually make a noticeable difference in the heat?
Absolutely! — this is the biggest reason our Las Vegas customers upgrade to ceramic. Blocking up to 98% of infrared heat means on a 115° summer day, your steering wheel, seats, and interior temperature stay noticeably cooler, and your AC doesn't have to work as hard.
